For the second time this year...
Introducing the latest harvest from ACODIHUE — the Association for Integral Development Cooperation of Huehuetenango in Guatemala.
In the cup for this second lot, we are tasting complex soft citrus notes wrapped in a sweet milk chocolate and accented by vanilla aromatics.
Founded in 1996, ACODIHUE is Fair Trade & Organic certified, but they're so much more than that: a holistic development org tackling poverty and food insecurity through health, education, gender equity, and environmental projects. When you drink this coffee, you're funding that work.
80% of ACODIHUE's coffee is grown by indigenous women farming the steep, high-altitude terrain of the Cuchumatanes mountains (avg. 1,500 masl). In a region where coffee farming often isn't a sustainable path — and where many men have migrated north for work — cooperatives like ACODIHUE are rewriting what's possible, putting quality of life above all else.
It's not just what's in the bag. It's who's behind it. Cheers!
