Rwanda Abadatezuka COOP - Limited TIme Release
Our first coffee under the Limited Release Series banner comes from the western province of Rwanda: a remarkable lot produced by the Abadatezuka Co-op in Nsinduke Village.
In the cup, expect a vibrant profile that bridges some of our favorite coffees. It shares the brightness of Ethiopia Ardi and the chocolate depth of Uganda Rwenzori, while offering its own distinctive character: cranberry at the forefront, layered with notes of grape, red plum, and delicate hibiscus florals. Amongst our team the note of a fancy candy bar has become synonymous with this coffee!
This release won’t be around forever, but for now, we’re honored to share the work of the many farmers, producers, and partners who made it possible. Available now for canister fills, retail bags, and on bar for pourovers!
The Abadatezuke CO-OP grows an organic bourbon varietal (pronounced boor-bone) at extremely high altitudes of 1850-2200 MASL. This region is home to the Nyungwe forest and is situated along Lake Kivu which provides benefits to crop quality. Bee-assisted pollination, fertile ground (black humus and sandy soil), and the cool lake-affected climate contribute to the dazzling flavors found in the cup
